Thrifted Festival Lookbook ft. ZeroUV

Festival Season is finally upon us and I can't wait to see what kind of outfits come out of them. I love how fashion has become so closely tied with music which makes sense as they are both very intimate forms of expression. Although I won't be joining the crew on their journey to Coachella this weekend, best believe I will be there in spirit as I stream that sh*t on YouTube lol. I never got to share the outfits I did wear at Coachella once-upon-a-time, so hopefully this inspires you if you're still looking for last minute outfits ideas, or are already preparing for other festivals like Outside Lands or Bottlerock, just to name a few. I have three looks for you, perfect for three day festivals and are all centered around thrifted pieces. Also, all looks feature one of my favorite sunglasses brand, ZeroUV as one of the most important things you need to protect from the sun (other than your skin) is your eyes. They are super affordable, with prices as low as thrift store prices. I've linked each one in the descriptions below. Without further ado, here they are!

day 1: Cool and Breezy

I arrived late the first day of the Coachella and it was a breezy evening that worked well with my long flowy outfit.

I thrifted these awesome loose tribal / batik / hawaiian looking pants that kept my temperature comfortable into the cooling night. I think this type of print is timeless at festivals and is pretty easy to find at your local thrift store. Whether it's pants or a top, batik floral patterns make any outfit festival-esque.

I paired the pants with a simple black bralette and to add more coverage, I put on a long black sheer button up dress so I didn't feel so naked up top. I also scored with these thrifted Gold Doc's that were perfect for walking around in the dirt.

For my accessories, I wore a floppy printed hat I found in Harajuku but honestly, I could've done without. It kept flying off since it was windy and would have rather saved it for a sunnier day. I stacked some assorted rings from different ring packs that I found at places like Forever 21 and Claires. I also wore multiple beaded bracelets, some I made, others I found at Cotton On, etc. My necklaces were borrowed from my blogger sis, Arnelle, and the sunnies are from ZeroUV!

day 2: hot and unheavy

The second day of Coachella was hot af and I did not want to be bothered with carrying anything so I wore my clear holographic fanny to carry all my goods. Fanny packs are pretty much available everywhere these days including Amazon, where you can find the below here.

As hot as it was, I still wanted to cover myself in something cool and light with this perfect, colorful, thrifted silk kimono I found in the pajama section. You can find so many cool cover-ups in the pajama section, this is only one of the many I've thrifted. They are usually silk or satin which is perfect for hot weather as they stay cool to the touch.

Underneath I wore my American Apparel hooded swimsuit and paired it with some high waisted stretchy shorts that were easy to move around in. To be honest, I wouldn't have minded going without the shorts because it was that hot. But I'm not at that level of #bodypositivity. Yet at least. If you have the balls to do it, I say go for it.

Another thrifted piece in this outfit are my slides. Yes they're not the cutest, but your little piggies will be thanking you for not suffocating them in sneakers in such burning weather.

As for accessories, I wore a black hat I got from H&M, a necklace and body chain from Forever 21 and of course, Yellow sunnies from ZeroUV.

day 3: laced with unicorn

Unicorns have been a huge trend at festivals. Even brands like Too Faced are hopping on the trend with naming an eye shadow Unicorn Tears in their Life's a Festival Palette. Which I'm dying to get my hands on btw. Although I don't have that palette, I do have this awesome holographic Unicorn purse to go with this long lace dress from H&M.

What's the thrifted piece? The white bodysuit underneath that I found in the lingerie section of the thrift store I frequent. Unfortunately not all thrift stores sell lingerie, but those that do usually have bodysuits like these. What I love about these bodysuits is that they snap at the bottom making it easy to use the restroom. I know that might be TMI, but it's true!

I felt like this outfit was my most bold and daring one so I kept the accessories minimal, rocking only the obligatory flower crown and of course... These awesome sunnies from ZeroUV!

I hope you found this helpful for your quest in dressing for your next festival! Which ones are you going to this year? Let me know in the comments below!
